Primary Mathematics programme
Our Primary Mathematics programme follows two key features. We use visuals to represent mathematical quantities and their relationships instead of words so students can grasp the structure of a word problem and the abstract concepts in a concrete way. We highlight the application of mathematical concepts and skills to develop processing skills such as reasoning and communicating, raising meta-cognition in problem solving, and nurturing a positive attitude towards learning mathematics.
People learn Mathematics faster and easier when they physically touch real objects, then see pictures before going through symbols. This brings fun and instill a sustained passion and appreciation for Mathematics in our students. We believe that all children are capable of anything, depending on how it is presented to them and the effort which they put into learning it.
Our programme aims to move away from simple memorizing of formulae and solutions and to focus instead on teaching students how to problem solve so they can be efficient problem solvers of mathematical problems to ace their examinations in school and PSLE as well as to tackle their everyday life effectively.
We give confidence to our students by ensuring that our students have a strong grasp of the core concepts. Our students are trained to apply the basic concepts through the usage of critical thinking skills, in-depth analysis and logical reasoning skills. We challenge our students to excel in the subject through numerous heuristic approaches. High achievers and GEP students will be exposed to more advanced and higher-order mathematical scenarios which will challenge and stretch their problem-solving abilities to the limit.
HI! I’m Jarrett Ang and I am a student of LearningMAX Enrichment Centre @ 603A Senja and my favourite tuition teacher is Mr. Koh. Before I joined LearningMAX, my math result was approximately 60/100 and it was a very low B. There were significant improvements in my results after I joined LearningMAX. My SA2 result was almost an A* 89/100!!

JARRETT ANGLearningMAX Tuition Centre – Senja Branch is where my 3 kids, Jenson Chan(P6), Celine Chan(P4) and Charmaine Chan(P2) are having their tuition since August 2017.
Jenson and Celine are attending Maths class with their same tutor, Mr Koh. He has the exceptional ability to bring lessons to life and engages them in class with optimistic and encouraging manner. Regardless of how many times they asked him to explain the questions, he will patiently teach them again and makes sure they understand it. This is why my kids love to attend his class.
As for Charmaine who is taking English class, she has a caring, patient, passionate tutor, Ms Evelyn. She takes care to build up her self-confidence by prompting her to speak more and makes sure she understands the topic well. A good advantage with the in-house worksheet that was marked during lesson allowed them to understand more on the topics. With their professionalism, I hope my kids will be able to improve their grades and study with much enthusiasm.
